BlockPlugged ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our store, place an order, or contact us, and how we use and protect that information.

1. Information We Collect

• Order information: Name, shipping address, email, phone number, and items purchased.
• Payment information: Card details are entered on Stripe's secure payment page. We never see or store your full card number, CVC, or expiration date. We only store the last 4 digits and a Stripe customer/charge reference for order lookup.
• Account/admin sessions: If you log in to an admin account, we set a secure, httpOnly session cookie. Customers do not need an account to place an order.
• Support correspondence: Messages you send us by email or through the chat widget, including any details you provide.
• Basic technical data: Server logs record IP address, request time, user-agent, and the page or product viewed. This is used for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Fulfill and ship your order, and send order confirmations and shipping updates
• Process payments and prevent fraud through Stripe
• Respond to your support questions and handle returns
• Maintain inventory, accounting, and tax records as required by law
• Improve site performance, fix bugs, and protect against abuse

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not run ad tracking pixels or third-party analytics on this site.

3. Service Providers

We share the minimum information needed with the following providers to operate the store:

• Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Railway — hosting infrastructure for our website and database (railway.com/legal/privacy)
• Shipping carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.) — to deliver your order, we provide the carrier with your name and shipping address
• Email provider — to send transactional order and shipping emails

4. Cookies

BlockPlugged uses only essential cookies needed to make the site work:

• A secure session cookie if you log in to an admin account
• A short-lived cookie used by your browser to keep your shopping cart between page loads

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, or cross-site tracking.

5. Data Retention

We keep order records (name, shipping address, items, totals) for as long as required by tax, accounting, and consumer-protection laws — typically at least 4 years. Support email threads are retained for up to 2 years. Server logs are typically rotated within 30 days.

6. Security

All traffic to BlockPlugged is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Payment information is handled directly by Stripe and never touches our servers. Admin accounts are protected by hashed passwords (bcrypt) and a secret-signed session cookie. We take reasonable steps to protect your information but no system is 100% secure — if you believe your account or order has been compromised, contact us immediately.

7. Your Rights

You can:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information — note that we may need to retain order records to comply with tax and accounting laws
• Opt out of any marketing email by replying or using the unsubscribe link (we currently do not send marketing email)

8. Children

BlockPlugged is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

9. International Visitors

BlockPlugged is operated from the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the site, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective" date at the top of this page, and where appropriate, a notice on the site.
